South Carolina ranks fifth in the nation for problems related to driving under the influence (DUI), according to a new report from BackgroundChecks.org. The report ranked all 50 states from worst to best based on a combination of drunk driving statistics from 2014.
One of the biggest problems among South Carolina drivers is the rate of deaths from DUIs. The Palmetto State's DUI death rate of 6.07 per 100,000 people is the fourth-highest of all 50 states.
